ViolentBlue
as long as they are food grade plastic you won't have any problems. as far as regulation, I'm not sure what you mean.
Scott @ Twenty2Vodka
Title 27 Code of Federal Regulations (Commonly referred to as 27 CFR) is the resource for all rules and regulations of making and selling beverage alcohol. This code is extensive and compreshensive, covering everything you need to be aware of. What is not discussed in 27CFR is called freedom. And you are free to use plastic totes or barrels where you see fit in your quest to create bev alcohol. Here's the link to the CFR, you will need to reference this often as you progress to legally getting bottles on the shelf: http://www.ttb.gov/other/regulations.shtml States have similar "codes", though more focused on the sale and conusmption. Google will help you find your specific state's code, it's typically managed under the department of public safety.... Best of luck, -Scott
