clearwaterbrewer
I just got my generic LLC started here in FL, mainly to get business started on paper and put deposit on and get financing for the building... I probably/may get another separate LLC for the actual distillery, and that may be 6 months out when I actually have the building via a loan or on contract for deed, and therefore permission to publically approach the zoning folks. So for the EIN application for the general LLC, should I check the 'Will the business be related to alcohol, tobacco or firearms' box? What happens if/when I do check it? -mike future proprietor of Cotherman Distilling Co.
pressure9pa
I received my incorporation paperwork 3 weeks ago, and best I can tell is nothing so far.
clearwaterbrewer
Following up, the LLC for owning the building - the EIN application question was answered 'no', and the one for the distillery LLC was answered 'yes', and I did not hear a peep from anyone about either. Caintuckee
What ultimately happened when you applied and checked "yes" on alcohol, firearms, etc.? Did you pay any special taxes for doing so or are those taxes taken when you're actually producing alcohol?
