bottle cleaning

Rinsing with the spirit you are botteling is used by some, as long as it is only a small amount of dust that is the contaminant.

Works well with my small scale.

I have a single spout Enolmatic. I fill bottle to about one eighth, swirl it around and tip back to the container I am drawing from. Any dust rinsed out will be trapped by filters on return.

I get the next "dusty" bottle and partly fill, then while that is draining I fill the previous one I just dained.

With just a little practice the swirling and draining, as well as the corking can be finished before the next one is full.- just one person

Also, if your spirit drum is on a set of accurate scales you can very easily track the average quantity going to each bottle.
