OCS - Bear Wallow
We have been planning for almost a year and are about to take the leap into opening a micro-distillery. I would be interested in hearing about your mistakes and how you would avoid them? I know we'll make mistakes but I can't afford to make expensive ones. Thank you very much,
Oregon Spirit Distillers
I have not seen your business plan but I know that there are two things you need more of: floor drains and capital.

bluestar
Amen. And a bigger space. I hear you, brother. Space, drains, and plenty of capital. I doubled my space during set up, and would like to double again. I put in nice big floor drains, I need more. Construction mods ran me 2x what I planned, and I probably need to spend that amount again in the next year. And I find I need another tank, new column, another still... JohninWV
If we had 4 times the space we have now, we'd still find a way to fill it up.
Copperstill
I have not seen your business plan but I know that there are two things you need more of: floor drains and capital. LOL. I agree floor drains and sloped floors prevent huge amounts of time that otherwise is wasted cleaning when you shouldn't have to.
