Newbie in CA Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Is anyone being required by insurance company to get visitors to sign waivers? and/or present visitors with guidelines (what they can and cant do in the space)?
Mike Fiore Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 I have not, but WOW!!! what an Idea, and if the violate the space limit i recomend death by torture. Of course after the rain tax Maryland is the most liberal state
jwymore Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 I have never seen this done and I have been on a lot of tours
Newbie in CA Posted May 16, 2013 Author Posted May 16, 2013 Thanks Yes we were a little confused when they asked us for one too, and at this point we dont plan on having one. However, if anyone out there has come across this before I'd love to hear a little more about it.
TetonDistillery Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Lawyers are just about the worst people on the planet. We do not have anyone sign a waiver and we would cheerfully beat any lawyers or insurance agents that suggest it.
bluestar Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 We only use waivers for volunteers, for example people helping with bottling. The waiver was reviewed with our insurance agent. We don't use waivers for tours, which we consider part of our retail operation.
Newbie in CA Posted May 17, 2013 Author Posted May 17, 2013 Thanks Blue Id love to see an example of what a waiver looks like for your volunteers if you dont mind sharing..
