Gwydion Stone
I'm very happy to announce the release of Marteau Absinthe de la Belle Époque. (Marteau Belle Époque for short)After over a year of planning and collaboration with House Spirits Distillery, the first cases of Marteau are now safely lodged in the warehouse of the Oregon Liquor Control Commission. Wider distribution and online sales, where permitted, will follow shortly. I'm very pleased with the results; I've managed to craft a delicious, 100% authentic, belle époque style absinthe without cutting corners or compromising on either quality or historic authenticity. No effort or expense was spared—in formula, process or packaging—to create a completely accurate expression of the finest absinthe of the pre-ban era, and the first such to be legally made and sold in the United States. Some of you know what a long, laborious and often frustrating process this has been for me, and I must admit I'm as relieved as I am proud and excited. Those of you in the Northwest are invited to drop by our Open House this weekend: House Spirits Distillery 2025 SE 7th Avenue, Portland, Ore. Saturday, November 8th, 1pm-4pm Free to the public, 21 and over. Marteau will be available for tasting and purchase in the House Spirits Boutique as will House Spirits' Aviation gin, Krogstad aquavit and Medoyeff vodka. Tours will be conducted every 20 minutes from 1pm - 3:40 pm. There will also be another larger event at the distillery on Dec. 13th; details later.Cheers!
