Jimmidaboot Posted July 18, 2013 Share Posted July 18, 2013 Hey guys, my next still project is in the planning process, and my client is interested in using an agitator as they are going to have a lot of solids in the mash. I would like to solicit advice on what unit to use, and the best way to make a good seal at the pass through for the shaft. Anyone have a good experience or even a bad experience? Sorghumrunner Posted July 19, 2013 Share Posted July 19, 2013 Jimmi, You'll want to go with an explosion proof, or air operated unit. The correct agitator will have sealed bearings, so that there is no way for vapor to leak out.
