Does anon have a good source for electrically controlled steam and water valve?

Stepped motor valves are spendy! So are pilot-controlled proportional steam valves.

The most cost-effective solution I came up with was PNEUMATIC proportional steam valves. Awesome for cooling as well.

If you aren't bothered by snap-clicking valves, a standard steam solenoid works pretty well with a standard PID temp controller. Available from McMaster Carr for under $200 on the 3/4" and under $500 for 1".
