Hi from New York Spirits Awards

Recommended Posts

Hi

My name is Adam Levy and I am the Co-Founder of the NY Spirits Awards. This is a message to distillery owners who participate in this forum. Though please feel free to pass this information along to others. If in anyway I am doing something wrong with the post please contact me immediately at adaml@nyspiritsawards.com

Please allow us to extend an invitation for your distillery to participate in the international spirits competition in the 2009 New York Spirits Awards. The New York Spirits Awards will be held this June 13-15th in the world’s capital New York City.

The competition will draw on the best of what New York has to offer. The top spirits importers, distributors, mixologists in New York and throughout the USA will be on our blind judging panel. Spirits will be judged in five categories: appearance, aroma, taste, mouth feel and finish. Each spirit will then receive a numerical score up to a top score of “100”. The top 10% in each category will win a “Best of Category” with the top spirit in each category will win a “FDR” award. This award recognizes U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt who repealed Prohibition in 1933.

The awards will be announced at a press conference in New York the week of June 15th, 2009. The top importers, distributors, retail store buyers and mixologists in the United States will not only be on our judging panel but will also receive the competitive results. We have already made arrangements with our US and International media outlets to distribute the results in each participating distilleries country.

We look forward to working with you and hope that you recognize the media and trade benefit of participating in the New York Spirits Awards in the world’s capital New York City.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions regarding submission of your spirits.

Best regards

Adam Levy
