Orlin Sorensen
Designed to remove 15%-35% liquid from spent grain to use as backset or dewater prior to transport. Pump spent grain into one side. As it passes over sieve screen liquid drains through while slop passes out other end. (Pipe in picture is rotated half way between full dewater and full pass through for viewing purposes.) Most cost effective way of dewatering and/or sour mashing. $7,900 FOB Woodinville. (425) 486-1199

schnit
I'm wondering the same thing. I understand the mash goes in one end and drains through a screen--but what keeps the solids moving once the liquid drains out?
Orlin Sorensen
Gravity keeps the solids moving. You mount it at an angle.
