OldSpye
I'm gonna call "BS". Phthalates are plasticizers and are, in the food & beverage industries, most commonly associated with plastic containers and improper (non-food grade) PVC plumbing. The product cited in the article is a Sazerac spirit produced in Bardstown by Barton. I've been through their facility. It may be a lot of things, but it's not susceptible to phthalate migration. Silk City Distillers
Phthalates are also used in pesticides, and are a wastewater pollutant, which are making phthalates more commonly found in food products than we might like. Normally I'd post the literature, but do yourself a favor and don't look it up, it's depressing.
mendodistilling
Yes, the reason I tell people, of course you COULD buy a bunch of lettuce for 1.00 but the farmers market lettuce that cost 6.00 is less than chemo later.
