Hey James. Sent you a couple emails about the tanks. Also, any chance you'd fabricate larger sizes maybe 60-75 gallon?

Cheers,

The 55 gallon size Stainless Steel barrel has been popular because many people have 53 gallon oak barrels for aging their whiskey or bourbon. So 55 gallons is a great size for holding when emptying a mature oak barrel.

So that is the only size we have manufactured so far. If there is enough demand for a larger size, we could certainly try it.

We ordered 2 of these tanks. I can't speak highly enough of the quality, customer service and prompt shipping. The tanks were quoted within 15min and we placed our order. The tanks shipped two days later and when they arrived they were well packaged and in perfect shape. The large casters make them a breeze to move around the distillery. Also the standard 1.5" ferrules for the drain make it easy to connect to a bottle filler hose. Additionally there's a small gusset welded from the drain elbow to the bottom of the tank which was a nice touch. I added some ball valves to the drain port and we were in business.

These things are rock solid and at a fair price. Highly recommend purchasing!!!

James, we too would be looking for something a bit larger. We have two of your first edition design, and find that maybe something as large as 90 gallons at the same height would be helpful. Also it would be super helpful to have graduations marked/stamped on the inside.

Hi James, I also have four of these 55g tanks, use them daily, and agree that having a larger size (100-150g) offering would be beneficial. Gradiations would be awesome, but more importantly, the ability to fit on a standard floor scale (like the 55g size), since we weigh everything for volume anyway. Both would be ideal though.

Cheers,

Josh

We have a new batch of our Stainless Steel barrels now in the warehouse available for immediate shipping.

Also, just to clarify, these are all new and manufactured for the purpose of providing them to other craft distilleries. One potential customer asked why we are "getting rid of them". Just letting everyone know that we are not getting rid of them. These SS barrels were manufactured for the purpose of selling them new. We have been selling these for over 2 years now and have provided many to dozens of distilleries. Many customers are repeat buyers after they see how useful they are.

Union Grove Distillery in New York is the proud owner of a few our our stainless steel barrels.

Edit: This is actually version 1.0 of our stainless steel barrel. This is an older picture.

In version 2.0 the drain is fully under the barrel so that 100% of the liquid drains out. Scroll up to my post on November 16th to see the diagram of the 2.0 version. Also pictures above in a previous post.
