DenverDistiller Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 We are opening our distillery with a dual purpose 1) make a great bottle of whiskey which will be our flagship product 2) make unique liquors for our tasting room that are one-of-a-kind Here is the question - I am inclined to have our marketing read XYZ Whiskey to give people a tangible idea of what we make, but alternatively we could be XYZ distillery and equally promote whiskey, and our unique spirits... I'm leaning towards the company name highlighting whiskey, but I am torn. What to you think?
daveflintstone Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 I think the real question is, how do you pronounce XYZ?
Dehner Distillery Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 DO NOT BOX YOUR SELF IN TO A "WHISKEY" NAME. WHEN YOU WANT TO DO ANYTHING ELSE IT JUST WILL NOT LOOK OR FLOW RIGHT. Would you expect Jack Daniels to have a vodka?? NO.... Would I go looking for a rum, or a vodka, or gin at a whiskey distillery??? NO..... If your whiskey is so good, it will stand on its own legs.
DenverDistiller Posted September 1, 2015 Author Posted September 1, 2015 cool - we took your advice Dehner D. Thanks,
