International Shipping

Greetings everyone! I know I am not the only one out there, but I have a case of spirits I want to ship to a friend in Berlin, Germany. All the regular shipping companies I have contacted say they are not allowed to. There must be a way...does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi Rik,

I'm not sure there's a legal way to do it. There are potential tax/duty issues, as well as issues related to transportation of alcohol. I am not surprised that shipping companies refused to allow it, they wouldn't let you ship it within the US either, so cross-border is a definite no-go.

Let us know if you find a way, aside from not declaring what's in the box and taking your chances. While I certainly wouldn't encourage it, I have heard of people taking that approach out of desperation.

I buy whisky from a Scottish company called Parker's all the time. They send it direct from the UK via a company called Parcel Force Worldwide. The company won't pick-up in the US but might have some suggestions if you called them.
