gregmeeh
Hello friends, Looking for info on fire seperation required between distillery: F1 (moderate hazard manufacturing) and tasting room: M (mercantile) tasting room is less than 10% of total square footge if that maters. Greatly appreciate any help you can offer.
3d0g
Need to check with your local code AHJ, but if you're lucky enough to convince them your tasting room is M then there is no fire separation requirement with F1. Also note the 10% accessory occupancy would apply to just the M space, not your entire distillery. Tasting rooms are typically A. Fire separation between A and F1 is 1hr if sprinklered. bluestar
No separation required if sprinkled. But many locally will require 1 hr.
