Carbon Filter

So who is using a carbon filter? Seems like there are a lot of option as far as types/size of carbon. So what system and carbon are you using?

We have used a couple of styles of filtration, neither using a commercial system. We have borrowed a hop torpedo from the brewery, packed it with activated carbon, added mesh and pads to keep the carbon in, and actively pumped through it until satisfied with the filtration. We have also filled a pipe with carbon and gravity fed it from the loft. I don't recall specifying a size when ordering our carbon, but the best way I would describe its size is 'rough sand'.
