Regards Louis Stockholm, Sweden Hi Louis, There is another resource for you at this link: http://www.undiscoveredscotland.co.uk/usfeatures/maltwhisky/spiritsafe.html Possibly the only shop capable of producing a spirit safe in the United States would be Vendome Copper and Brass Works in Louisville, Kentucky: http://vendomecopper.com/ Pictures of their spirit saves can be found on that site's photo gallery under "tail boxes," as this what a spirit safe is called in the U.S. industry. If you ever come across a used spirit safe that is perhaps for sale, please let us know! All the very best, Rusty

billowens
There are 207 craft distilleries in the USA and none have a spirits safe. (The big industrial distilleries have safes, but are not required by law to have them) the safe is unique to Scotland. good luck with your project. bill owens American Distilling Institute

Glenlochy
Hi Louis, There is another resource for you at this link: http://www.undiscoveredscotland.co.uk/usfeatures/maltwhisky/spiritsafe.html Possibly the only shop capable of producing a spirit safe in the United States would be Vendome Copper and Brass Works in Louisville, Kentucky: http://vendomecopper.com/ Pictures of their spirit saves can be found on that site's photo gallery under "tail boxes," as this what a spirit safe is called in the U.S. industry. All the very best, Rusty Hi Rusty, Thanks for your reply - I have contacted Vendome now for information where they have delivered. It is very rare that a spirit safe is up for sale - I was lucky in 2008 when the spirit safe from Glenlochy was up for sale. So far I have come across only one more and this was from Scotland but in US together with stills and other equipment. When I contacted the company the spirit safe had been scrapped - a pity. If I see one for sale I will contact you! Regards Louis
Glenlochy
Be cautious of the glenlochy.com site. We have three network security systems not allowing access due to it being listed as a 'malicious intent' site, usually meaning it's sending out hidden cookies. (we are in the net security business and trust our software). Just noting as a precaution, they may not be aware of an infection on the site. Hi! Thanks for the information. This is the first time I hear that my website has this problem. I have this site on a major internet provider in Scandinavia (one.com) but I will contact them and ask them to check my website, Best regards Louis

It would be nice to know which distilleries in USA have/had spirit safes/tail boxes. To my knowledge: Buffalo Trace, Four Roses, Jack Daniels, Makers Mark, Michters/Bombergers, Woodford Regards Louis
