  1. Fantastic, another distillery in NC!!!!! We are located in Thomasville, NC and are label designers and printers. We serve most of the distilleries in NC and at least 1/2 of the wineries here, which is about 60 plus.

There is an NC Distillers group forming and we will be doing all the printing for that. Are you familiar with Carolina Distillers in Lenoir? I can send their contact info to you as they are heading this up.

Let me know how I can help you. We are family owned and have been in the printing industry for 52 years. I have been there for 32 years and we are very knowledgeable of TTB regs. See my info below.

  2. There is Whiskey and then there's Bourbon. Do you have on the label what it is distilled from? I would be happy to take a look at your label files. I also have a good contact at TTB that I can call directly.

  3. Race Labeler is a great product for a start up. As you quantites get bigger, it will help to have one that spins the bottle electronically and also there is one that you dial in the bottle and label specifics and it spaces a two-part label perfectly.

If you will contact me, we sell these labelers at a discount since we order so many of them. We also travel to the customer to demonstrate and get them started, even though there is a CD and written info to help.

The cost on these are not much difference than on the Race Labelers. See my info below.

  4. Kristian is correct. The language on the hang tag cannot talk about what the product tastes like or suggest that it has flavors of. Also there can be no suggestions of it having any health benefits or imply anything medicinal.

We are printers in NC and know alot about TTB regs. We would be happy to check out your file(s).

  5. What do you need help with exactly? I work for a printing company and we know a lot about TTB regs and I have a contact with TTB.

I will be happy to help you at no charge if I know exactly what you need.

You can email me directly at carol@wrightlabels.com

  6. Hey Dan,

I was just through Kinston the other day on my way back from Columbia, NC. We are label printers/designers based in Thomasville, NC. We print wine labels for over 400 customers throughout the US and in the last few years, have quite a few distilleries that we are printing for.

Welcome to ADI! You will meet a lot of nice people here. If there is anything I can help you with or you would like for me to visit or send samples of our labels to you, please let me know.

    Cheers!

    Carol Phillips

  7. Hi Chris,

Have you been to the site uspto.gov? This is the U.S. Patent and Trademark office that you can search to see if anyone has your name or is trying to trademark it.

You will definitely want a trademark attorney if its not registered. We are printers and we can't trademark names, but we use this as an initial tool if someone gives us a name that we think may be registered.

Let me know if I can help you further.
