  3. Andy, I have been in the industry for over 11 years on the packaging side. I work with a lot of different distilleries helping them manage there supply chain and packaging needs. I used to work for Vitro then Saverglass. I started my own company that not only does the packaging, design, deco and so on but also broker bulk spirits with a distillery in MN. We are putting out 150 barrels a month of bourbon currently but are ramping up to 200 barrels. If you want more info please email me jph@heintzglobal.com Cheers! Josh

  7. Hello All, 2016 is upon us and I am sure you are feeling push to get things done before the second quarter hits. For those who do not know me from my days with Vitro Packaging (now OI) & Saverglass, I am Josh Heintz and I have been part of ADI since the second conference in 2008. I have taken my decade of expertise and established my own Packaging Consulting company, Heintz Global LLC. My mission is to help our industry navigate the now global packaging supply chain. As many of you know there are a lot of limitations and rabbit holes out there. If there is anything I can do to help educate, source, point you in the right direction or provide feedback on options, please do not hesitate to contact me. We provide the full package from sourcing spirits themselves to brand development all the way to materials. (stock & custom bottles, decoration, boxes and closures.) Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Cheers! Josh Heintz 808-284-1038 jph@heintzglobal.com

  11. Guys, The glass industry is a very hard one to forecast. When producing product you have a limited amount of tonnage you can pull per day from each furnace. It also cost around 100 million to build a new plant and increase volume. The industry as a whole fluctuates in waves of capacity restraints. Some years companies are really looking for business to fill furnaces and other years lead times go out for 4 to 6 months. With that said I have been working hard over the past 3 years to increase “Stock” of our bottles in the Central US. We have a warehouse in KY that I can ship single pallets if needed. This inventory is only for spirits companies so my focus is on you guys, not wine or any other package type. What I suggest for situations like this is simple. Set up a P.O. for 6 months, bring in the glass for that time and bill you for what you take when you take it. As long as I have a commitment for the inventory I can justify holding your need in inventory. Contact me with any questions. Cheers! Josh 414-426-5184 – jph@saverglass.com
  12. Smoogdog, This is just like our "stock" bottle the Scott. Refernce number 2385-0. Email me and I will send you the catalogue. The file is to large to upload. Cheers! Josh jph@saverglass.com
  13. Guys, This is a great point. One thing to remember, most all US, Mexico & European glass companies put the volume number on the side or bottom of the bottle. You will see either a 750ml or 75cl. BB in regards to your friend who had 700ml bottles passed off as 750ml, that is terrible. There are a few factors that impact corks popping. The main one is head space. With a spirit over 40 proof you need to have 3% head space to account for the amount the higher alcohol will expand in temperature change. All “Spirits” bottles should have this and our molds do. Wine however only needs a 1% head space. I have run into this issue when someone took a wine bottle and put vodka in it. There are also different internal dimensions for a wine cork opening and a T-cork opening. All in all if you have questions like this one to discuss call me anytime. Cheers! Josh 414-426-5184
  14. All, Just a friendly reminder that almost all of the standard stock bottle that Saverglass offers come in 700ml. I have heard it is hard to find options in this size here in the US. Let me know if you need help! Cheers! Josh jph@saverglass.com
  15. All, I have stock of the Kendo Eco Design bottle in the US that needs a home. If anyone is interested please contact me. jph@saverglass.com or text/call 414-426-5184. I have a few thousand in the US (KY Warehoue) and many more in France that could be decorated to your specific needs. These are bar top 19mm internal & 29mm external. Can hold 80 proof spirits with proper head space. Cheers! Josh
