Thx , theres is not a lot of specific information on filtering. How much active carbon should I use to spirits ratio and how many times can you run said spririts through the same carbon.
-
Besides filtering before and after proofing down, does anyone know of any unique tips on smoothing out the taste of vodka? Maybe a better filter?

No. You can but do not need to add sugar. You can, but do not need to add citric. Adding citric lets you take advantage of credits for the alcohol content of the citric you add. In all likelihood, you and everyone else who reads this will not want to deal with the records required for the tax credit. But if you add sugar (it makes it taste more like some of the expensive imports)or citric, then you do that BEFORE you cut to bottling proof. But you are correct, you filter before you make the cut. The cut to bottling proof is the last thing you do before putting it in the bottle.

Www.thinkuniversal.com they provide case holders for your bottles. I am assuming when you say cardboard this is what you are looking for

P diddy took Ciroc from nothing to 400 million in sales. Its all marketing and creating a following like deep Eddy vodka did in Austin Texas. Music sells products. Well it sounds easy but its about getting out of the Distillery and into what ever niche you think will help you promote your brand. Get ready Arizona, we are next!

Do you make those custom retail store merchandisers?

If u are dealing with the TTB. Don't WASTE your money on an attorney. Be persistent. Call, call again. Ask for supervisors. Call your federal Congressmen. Just my 2 cents from past experience.

Anyone have any experience with submitting a transfer in bond application. If so how long does it take?
-
Approved this morning. Applied Nov 2nd 2015. I had some issues with my initial application location so I had to re submit in January for a new location. Approved this morning.

Tory always returns my calls. They are professionals and very knowledgeable about stills.

Can you self distribution in your state?
-
I was going to open my Distillery in Florida but chose the state of Arizona. Florida doesn't allow paid tastings or self distribution. God bless you sir and good luck.
-
What that means is being the next Ciroc or Titos Vodka company.
-
I you even have intentions, dreams or aspirations on running a nationally distributed product, that product will have to be produced labeled and bottled offsite to handle the volume. So whats the difference?? To the AVERAGE consumer it doesnt matter. Im business first, craft second but thats just me.

In search of an oil powered steam boiler 300k btu. It is for a 200 gallon still with 20 plates.

Filed oct 2nd 2015 and still waiting. I got my state of arizona approval yesterday.

I disagree. Sales are sales. And any distillery that has previous business experience would recognize this. Start up distillers should welcome entreprenuers who want to purchase bulk spirits.
Direct Sales to Retailers
in Distribution

Florida DOES NOT allow direct to retail. In Florida you are at the mercy of distributors and very limited retail to the public. Its assinine.
