What online retailer do you use to sell your spirits online? Do they all take around a 40% cut? Seems insane!

I have been googling and can't seem to find what I am looking for. After drilling into the side of a whiskey barrel to get a sample, I have seen distilleries hammer in a small wooden stake/plug to fill in the driil hole. What are those stakes called? Recommendations on where to purchase?
Cheers!

I'm looking to buy that stainless tool that is put into the bung hole and is used to reduce the splash when dumping a barrel. I have no idea what the tool is called. I want to purchase one.
Thanks!

What do you all use to generate your UPC and SCC_14 barcodes? It seems like GS1 is the gold standard, but expensive.
I am doing a good amount of single barrel offerings and I think I need a barcode for each one???

The regulations only require that the marks be legible. Some folks use avery labels (and DISTILL x 5 / Whiskey Systems will generate those for you). I've also had boxes preprinted with all the items other than the serial, and then apply the serial with an inkjet case coder. You could also use a manual serial stamp or even handwriting. The right path forward depends on your bottling volume and SKU mix.
IMO, money spent on custom cases is tough to get an ROI on, unless you have a very specific strategy for marketing which places case stacks in front of the public. Most new/craft producers will not get that opportunity. The most space a retailer is likely to devote to you is a couple bottle's worth. Just my 2 cents!
Thanks so much for the reply!
Unfortunately, we are NOT using DISTILL x 5 or anything like that. Just a spreadsheet at the moment.
Using a label printer makes the most sense. Do you have a label template with the required information that I can modify for my distillery?

I'm looking for some barrel broker contacts that have some interesting aged whiskey that I can use to build up my brand. Thanks for any help.

Hi Group,
I have been looking into a inventory management software for my distillery, but the prices seem to be very high.
Does anyone have a spreadsheet that they use to manage inventory that they wouldn't mind sharing with me?
Cheers,
Ryan

I just found this TTB link for approved devices. Some are very expensive.

Hi everyone!
My first post!
I searched "hydrometers " in the forum to learn more about what I should purchase but didn't find what I was looking for. I want to purchase a digital hydrometer so I don't need any glass ones. Really just one hydrometer for all the proofing for the label.
Any recommendations? I saw this one.......
