You are looking at the same Yamada Pump that I am. I am leaning toward the ground able acetal as well otherwise you will need to "improve" it as I was told.
What size compressor are you going with to drive this pump?

Where is everyone buying those stainless steel milk cans?

Just curious Mash, what still do you have and why are you going to bigger elements?

Someone once told me it was $1 per gallon for the work, if you supply the grain. My guess though is that the brewery will be buying a lot more grain than you so his price might be lower than yours especially if they are already buying what you want like a 2 row. You should have them quote it for you both ways.

Kudos to you for doing it in a craft way. Growing our yeast is a way to make your place more craft if you will. It is not hard to do, expands our possibilities and keeps costs down. I have a design for a yeast prop tank if anybody is interested.
What is the cost of your yeast making class? I would think that this would be extremely popular in order to create a signature taste profile, and maybe a few of us could get together somewhere to make this cost efficient.

I used Jim McCoy and was extremely pleased with the results. The process was effortless and his experience made a huge difference when there were questions. His pricing is very fair, and well worth the investment.

If you can find another one count me in.

Afilters PM me with your information please.

WOW. This post is very illuminating. It seems worth a try considering Glacier tanks this size are about $5000.
