Spirits Production Assistant & Single Barrel Ambassador

Latitude Beverage, the fast-growing wine & spirits company behind award-winning brands such as 90+ Cellars, Wheel Horse Whiskey, Tequila Zarpado, Copper & Cask, Northcross Irish Whiskey and Buddy’s Vodka, is looking for a dedicated and hard-working spirits professional to join our production team and support our whiskey programs. This position reports to our Spirits Production Manager, and will have the opportunity to learn and grow in this role.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1-2 years experience in a distillery or spirits production environment working on production-related aspects such as handling spirits both in barrel and bulk, bottling, blending, proofing, dumping and barrel maintenance. These production functions will make up approximately 60%-75% of the role. 

In addition to production support, we are looking for someone who loves whiskey and loves talking about whiskey. In this role, you will get to help with single barrel sales – pulling samples, speaking to customers and whiskey clubs, and even giving barrel tours of our facility.

Although not required, we would like to find someone who has a good palate for spirits and can help in the tasting, selection and blending process.  Experience with cask-finishing of whiskey is a plus.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 1-2 years hands-on in a spirits production environment

• Solid understanding of whiskey and spirits

• Ability to work independently to complete tasks

• Well-organized and proficient with spreadsheets

• Excellent record-keeping skills and attention to detail

• A good communicator - both written and verbal

This is a full-time role based in our East Providence, Rhode Island facility. 

Compensation is competitive, based on experience, and includes annual salary, bonus/commission opportunities, health/dental, 401K (with match), paid vacation and more.
