Seeking International Distillery Experience: South African Craft Distiller Ready to Expand Horizons

Recommended Posts

Greetings to the esteemed members of the American Distillers Institute,

My name is Llewellyn, and I am the co-owner, founder, and distiller at a South African craft distillery, 9 Orphans Distillery. Our journey in the realm of spirits has been both rewarding and enlightening, but as we continue to grow, I find myself drawn to the idea of exploring new horizons and expanding my expertise.

With this in mind, I am reaching out to this esteemed community in search of opportunities to gain invaluable international experience. My goal is twofold: to immerse myself in different distillation techniques, traditions, and cultures, and to establish meaningful connections and networks with fellow artisans across the globe.

Having cultivated our craft in the vibrant landscape of South Africa, we have honed our skills in creating unique and high-quality spirits that capture the essence of our local terroir. However, I believe that there is always more to learn, and there is immense value in stepping outside of one's comfort zone to embrace new perspectives and methodologies.

I am eager to contribute my passion, dedication, and expertise to any distillery or project that would welcome me into their fold. Furthermore, I am excited about the prospect of forging lasting connections with fellow distillers, enthusiasts, and industry professionals. I believe that the exchange of ideas and the cultivation of relationships are essential components of growth and innovation in our industry, and I am eager to contribute to this collective spirit of camaraderie and collaboration.

In conclusion, if you know of any opportunities or are interested in discussing potential collaborations, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead and look forward to the adventures that await.
