Copperworks Distilling Company Brews Up an Exciting Second Decade

Recommended Posts

As Copperworks Distilling Company enters its second decade, it's raising a glass to the past and headed for a spirited future with three anticipated projects on the horizon—a 30-barrel brewhouse, a cocktail bar and bottle shop, and a farm-to-table kitchen.

The year was 1989. Seattle’s craft beer scene was really starting to boom, and Charles Finkel, founder of Pike Brewing, now a beloved Seattle icon, hired Jason Parker to be their first brewer. Thirty-five years later, Parker is returning to the brewery that launched his career in Seattle’s craft beverage industry – but this time, he’s turning beer into Copperworks spirits: whiskey, gin, and vodka.

Parker co-founded Copperworks Distilling Co. in 2013 on the Seattle waterfront.

Today, Copperworks announced that it is set to acquire the Pike Brewing brewhouse on Post Alley, a move that marks a major milestone for the award-winning distillery, who makes all their product by distilling a beer (without hops) into spirits.

Copperworks plans to expand its production into Pike Brewing’s former 12,000-square-foot brewing facility next to Seattle’s iconic Pike Place Market. In October 2023, Pike Brewing announced its move to a state-of-the-art facility in Seattle’s SoDo neighborhood to expand its beer production. (Note that their popular Pike Pub and Pike Fish Bar locations will remain at their current spots next to Pike Place Market on 1st Avenue.)

The Pike Brewing Brewhouse takeover is one of three anticipated projects in Copperworks' pipeline.

Copperworks has launched an equity crowdfunding campaign on StartEngine to invite the public to become investors and co-owners in Coppeworks as it continues to build its momentum to grow sales and customer engagement.
