Paul Tomaszewski Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 I'm looking to upgrade our current pump that we use for moving our spirits/products into our bottler and for filtering purposes. It's a buon vino superjet, nothing fancy obviously, but wondering if some of you are using something out there that's a bit heartier. We have a wilden diaphram pump for moving mash/wash, I'm just looking for something for moving/filtering the spirit, something that isn't too violent in order to avoid splashing.
will Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 we use a small diaphragm pump from ingersol rand. the challenge with selecting a pump is that if you're moving spirit, all the explosion hazards are at play. using something non-electric, and groundable is a good idea. another wilden should work just fine.
Accutek Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 + 1 for Will - just make sure you check the elastomers and body for temp rating and chemical compatibility prior to purchase.
