bioviper Posted July 6, 2012 Share Posted July 6, 2012 i have a 250 gal still for sale. its all stain less steel. set up for electric heat but could be changed. 5,500 bucks obo. call me at 253 318 3534 or email me at jarretttomal@hotmail.com. i couldnt get the electrical to work right . i kept burning the wash. i think someone should have a water jacket welded onto the outside of the tank so as to heat the wash inderectly. If you were distilling on the grains, burning is a real danger especially if the wash is not agitated. With the right kind of controller, you may have been able to reduce initial heat input until the wash was heated up and moving via convection. If you had on/off control only, this is likely the biggest issue. I may be able to help you or whoever buys this unit out if this is the case. Click on my sig line.....
