Email I got said $76.98 + GST which is US$131.00 per proof gallon Per 750 mL bottle of 40%, the customer pays AU$25.40 excise or US$22.70 at current exchange rate Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
porter Posted August 7, 2013 Share Posted August 7, 2013 When will they learn. Raise the taxes and all that does is help drive the 'underground' distilling industry. There's a very large following of moonshiners down under already. Raise the shelf price of booze, you only increase the number of home remedy makers.
