Dogfish Head Distilling Company is seeking an Off-Centered Regional Spirits Sales Manager to sell our fabulous line of spirits, support our customers and provide a whole lotto love to the home market! We love Delmarva and so must you in order to be successful in this exciting new sales role. You’ll start at ground level to build relationships with our distributor partners, focusing on education and engagement with a side of persuasion in order to establish our brand within your territory. We’re the new kid on the block so you’ll need to spearhead, set, manage and measure sales plans and constantly strive to reach your goals. You’ll need to make our distributors partners your new BFFs and work with them to set goals and then stay on top of it so they are delivered on! Planning and pulling off spirits centered trainings, incentives and programming will need to be in your wheelhouse too. You’ll be hitting the pavement hard during the week ensuring our retail accounts are highly satisfied and the good stuff is looking great in POS displays. Cold calling can’t scare you as it will be essential to drum up new business to effectively increase Dogfish brand awareness and reach in our beloved home market. You should have heart and hunger as you work effectively within budgets and strive to exceed sales goals. Basically, you’ll be here, there and everywhere all along the Delmarva boarder representing our delicious spirits in the marketplace. Let’s represent Delaware strong!

What you need to land this gig:

The qualified candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Biz or other relevant discipline. You must have a minimum 5 years sales support, sales rep or distributor experience, within the spirits business. More significant career experience may replace part of the undergrad requirement. You should have a fantastic working knowledge of Delmarva and a strong sense of local pride to radiate Delmarvalousness in the manner in which it should be radiated. You gotta be able to work late nights, early mornings, weekend and holidays as necessary to support sales activities. You must be able to maintain your sobriety and professionalism while working in environments where the spirits are flowing, and a clean driving record is essential. And speaking of driving - miles mustn’t be your enemy as hitting the road is a definite part of the gig! You must also have exceptional communication skills, both written and spoken, and strong PC skills with MS Office applications.
