Ginto
Hi! I'm the editor of Ginto App, a Belgium based mobile app on Gin and Tonic. Not here to make publicity but to learn more on American Craft Distillers and their Gins. Basically what we want to know is: who is producing Gin in the USA and wants to be featured in our app. We're happy to learn on your spirits and discover all craft distilling in the USA has to offer. Once featured in the app we can share your brand with our users. The idea of our app was born about a year ago. You may or may not know that Gin is on the rise in Europe with Belgium, known for its beers but also genever, in a leading role. Today in Belgium it's hard to find a bar that hasn't got a broad range of Gin. This has all started with the rise of Gin&Tonic and prospects are that it wont end soon. We noticed that distilleries were sprouting out and almost every week a new Belgian gin, or two, would be introduced. To give you an idea: about a year ago Belgium had about 50 different gins and as we speak we're aware of 158 Belgian made gins. Not bad for such a small country, right? Globally, of course, there is a lot more gin to discover but this isn't always easy. We're convinced that many of you make great spirits but until it was hard for lovers of gin to discover more than the big brands or the local brands. Today we try to guide them in their search by featuring all brands of gin on our app. The idea for this app was born out of our own passion for gin and app development. Combine these two and you get the Ginto - Gin&Tonic app. So what do we do in this app? Well quite simple we give a description on all brands, give a list of the used botanicals and the best matching tonic brands. We also work together with some of the finest gin bloggers who create gin&tonic recipes which are in the app. Users can also give a rating to the gins they have tasted, keep track of the gins they have in their own collection and make a wishlist of gins. The next step in our development is to make this app more social. We want to create interaction between users and producers, producers and curators and so on. Most of all we want our users, over 40.000 by this time, to discover great spirits. We want to support good quality and don't leave gin lovers in an isolated landscape of mass-marketing and production. What we'd like to know is where on this forum would be the best place to open a topic where we can gather information on the American craft gin distillers and their gins. Information that is delivered by users and producers themselves is easier and faster for us to publish in the app. Thanks for your time and looking forward to learn from you! Sincerely, Brecht for Ginto App.
