Rutts Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 So I am as a hobby brewing up a plum brandy also known as Slivovitz. I learned it from a friend of mine that immigrated to the States in his teens. He showed me how to do it in a tiny pot Still, but I have the opportunity to run it through another friends Distillery but the issue with the Mash is the pits from the plums. We have 80 mature plum trees so we are not looking forward to hand cutting each and every plum because last year we had 715 gallons of mash. (13, 55-gallon barrels). I would appreciate any help I can get. Thank you.
JustAndy Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 Where are you located? I might be able to help you, we have some destoning machinery we've used for cherries and plums in the past.
