Hi, i'm looking for o good solution for making potato vodka (european specs/96%). Someone told me that an istill 5000 l potstill for stripping and a 2000 l hybrid for finishing could be a good solution, but i'm not convinced. The long term goal is 100.000 l lpa. What do you think? any suggestions for set ups or potato vodka distilleries to visit? all the best Martens V -
We have a lightly used 450 liter (118 gallon) Carl still. Everything you see in the photograph is for sale, including the steel mezzanine. The only part of the original build that is not for sale are two fermentation tanks. We are using them for another project. 8 adjusting plates and botanical basket. This was used for rum. We are asking $95000. Buyer would be responsible for crating and shipping. It is currently disassembled in Philadelphia PA. Please feel free to contact me with any questions! Attached is a PDF describing the still as proposed. The only change is to electrical specs: the unit as delivered is fed by 208 VAC 3-phase. We are looking for a second still to increase our production capacity. Is anyone upgrading to a larger system and maybe thinking about selling their smaller capacity still? We currently have a Carl still, made in Germany, that we like very much. Any German made still would be our first choice, but willing to look at other manufacturers as well. Anyone have any insights into the used still equipment market and what brands or types of stills might hold their value and are easier to sell than others? For example, would a CARL still hold its resale value better than a Vendome still? Would a Vendome still hold its value better than an Artisan Still Design still? Would a used 500 gallon still see more demand than a used 250 or 300 gallon still (or vice-versa)? Thanks!
