We have this system.
A few suggestions:
You need to set the sensors properly on the label infeed: Either 1 cm from the beginning of the label or 1 cm from the end. That is usually the main culprit. It's feeding non stop because it cannot determine where the label gap is.
If you're doing a two label application, make sure the settings reflect that.
Make sure the label spool is tight/has some resistance. Sometimes it will increase "slack" in the label feed and cause it to misfeed.
Make sure the labels have enough gap/space between them. If you have a clear label backing, this can be problematic.
Here is a senor adjustment how to:
Hope this helps!

I've used Wright Label for more than a decade and they have never let me down. Sherry Akines is the person to connect with: sherrya@wrightlabels.com

Anyone know who is selling 1.75l bottles with the handles on them? Like Titos? Thanks!

Try Alibaba

Hi folks! If you're interested in co-packing services in the SC area, please hit me up. We're capable of processing a variety of products, including cream based liqueurs.
We're adding a 50ml line shortly, so inquire if that's an extension you're interested in discussing.
Please reach out by email for questions: DR (at) sixandtwentydistillery (dot) com
Cheers!

I would love to know how a 100 liter setup, costing probably as much as one 10 times its size, can be an economically viable way to produce spirits. Do the math: 100 liters of mash might yield 3 proof gallons of finished whiskey (it can't produce vodka). Assume aging loss of 10%, you'd have like 12, maybe 15 bottles of spirit. That's the yield for like 4 days of your labor. And that is, of course, assuming you are an exceptional at mashing and your ferments are perfect and your cuts are generous. No offense, but this pitch is better suited for homedistiller.org

would you be interested in just selling the corking system? i have the same filler you have but a six head with capper. Some of my bottles require corks. does yours also handle shrinks to go on top of them
Sorry, but we wont part out the system.

Hey everyone. We are upgrading our bottling line and are preparing to sell our existing line.
We have a 2016 In-Line system that has a 4 head filler with an over pressurized and explosion proof control panel, an automatic CCR Engineering Model D T-Corker, 2-Label labeler with hot stamp label coder, and a heat shrink tunnel. It will include an unscrambling and a collection table. We have a manual air sparger table too, but I think we will hold on to this.

Filler: Economy Filler | InLine Packaging Systems, Inc.
Corker: Conveyor System | CCR Engineering (designccr.com)
Labeler: Paradigm 700 VS Labeler | InLine Packaging Systems, Inc.
We upgraded the product pump for the unit and it makes use and cleanup super easy.
Depending on when our new equipment comes in, this may be available in early September 2021.
Throughput on this line is about 300BPH. But that is going kind of easy.
Attached is a line drawing of the system and we plan to post videos and photos soon.
Asking price is $70k and we can even have the buyer come and see it in action and learn the system before we disassemble it.
Watch this space for more details.
Cheers!

We're on the hunt for a new label designer for a few projects. Anyone have any recommendations?
Thanks and cheers!

You can use normal cotton twine too.

Thanks Paul. We are going to mill out a copper bushing and tap it. That'll be a solid piece that can handle some torsion.
-
Thanks Paul:
We are adding a return buttress fitting to our column. We can do it in a 1.5inch tri clamp or a 1/2 inch FMPT buttress socket. I am agnostic as to which.
Since the column is solid copper, we wanted to keep the buttress fitting in copper as well.
I have attached pics for reference.
I know I could use a standard copper sweat fit 1/2 inch FMPT adapter, but they arent terribly robust and the thread exposure is pretty limited.

Hi folks!
I am in search of COPPER triclamp ferrules to weld/braze to a copper column.
Does anyone know where to find these?
-
Thanks Paul. I tried to PM you but the system says I cant. I sent an email offline. Cheers!

Thanks Meerkat. We live by your software, BTW. Couldn't function without it.
Re: the 1st vs 2nd column condensate return, I was assuming I would run two deflegs and pump back column 2 into column one. Seems like an easier challenge to solve than seeing if a simple pump back (sans a defleg on column one) will solve the challenge.

I am running into a challenge with a new building upfit and thought I would throw this to the peanut gallery.
We planned for a roof penetration for our vodka column. The construction is underway. The city engineering revised the roof penetration needs substantially and the cost has now increased a bunch.
The question becomes easier: spend a ton of money to do a roof penetration or modify equipment to deal with a lower ceiling?
Does anyone have thoughts on making a vodka column lower or dividing it in half?
Thanks and cheers!

Im guessing an xpressfill could work, but I've had one in the past and wasn't too impressed with it (for 750ml bottles).
Also, the TE tops. Are people just using hand held powered cappers to put them on?
Thanks everyone!

Your senators and congressmen can help if you are being victimized here. I would absolutely loop them in and ask for intervention.

Pallet Jack scale. Not the most accurate, but works for us.

I'm not certain that's the case. I know of PROMINENT distilleries in KY that probably run more volume in a month than all of us on this thread combined do in a year that are very happy with software options other than WS. Just saying that it's not the end all, be all if you want to run serious volume.
True: but most of them have on staff someone (or teams of people) like Donald Snyder, and wouldn't require Whiskey Systems. Alas, I cant afford a full timer that does nothing but systems management and materials/inventory/cost accounting.
-
Whiskey systems is to us the best there is. Was using it since the start and has seen how much it's grown. It simply covers everything.
I was thinking of this the other day; IMHO if you aspire to grow your distilling business you're going to be using WS software eventually, regardless of the system you use presently. It's the only one that can handle all scales of distillery enterprises.

As you can read by the different responses, this is a local code issue. Run it by your architect and make sure the plans pass muster for your building permit/CO application.
-
If it is a high proof pump, one would assume you're using a double diaphragm air driven one. What is the application? Filtering? What's the volume? These are cheap and easy set ups if so.
Notched Bottle Positioning Challenge For Our Enos Delta?
in Packaging
Posted
We have an interesting challenge: We want to adapt our Enol Delta capsule applicator/labeler to be able to "index" or position a bottle for exact label placement using the notch on the bottom of the bottles.
It's a retrofit, obviously, and there are some cool ideas I have in mind. Before I apply a bunch of mental horsepower to it, has anyone tried something like this before?
Cheers!
