  1. I just have to ask, what are you considering 'low' and 'micro' funded?

Nothing sarcastic in the question, just wondering. In our area a 'good' job is $15 an hour. But in other parts of the country you can't survive on less than $50.

So would a good assesment of funding be based on how long a distiller has to work before he/she starts pulling funds out of their business for their personal survival?

    ........

I understand a dollar is not the same all over the country. (but) big dollars are.

If I was the CEO for some fast food restaurant in the south - I may make 200k + Stock + Bonus. It's the same if I'm the CEO in Boston. Big money is the same. Master Distiller in a big job needs big money.

Low = you are starting up on money from your friends. you may have one thousand or ten in the bank.

Micro = you may have 100k in the bank.

Large = you have million in the bank

Industrial = you have 200-300 million in the bank.

  2. I wanted to start a post and check in on everyone. See what new ideas your working on, and see how life is around the world of the ADI.

Randall and myself are working on building an all in one malt/smoker. I think we will have some pictures and drawings for the board this week.

I got to try Hibiki 12 this week and I strongly recommend it.

Talked with a few great people over the phone from the boards. Life is good for us in Boston.

  3. Im not sure the federal government goes as nuts on the money background. The state is the big watch dog. If you have a tips card, if you have a liquor license on hand in that state. If you have income from anyone who does. That's how it bites you.

Just like anything goverment sometimes stuff slips through the cracks. Government will always catch up.

  4. Anyone who owns or would benefit from ownership is disqualified as a stock owner.

Got to love the 3 party system. You can be sneaky and have another family member from the interested investor party put up the money but TTB and your state government is going to background check your funds. I agree with bob, best way to play is to play straight.

  5. all joking aside. I respect each of you, and want this board to be a open tool for all our needs. I agree golf balls may be a waste of money. If any of you are hosting a golf tournament it may help. Maybe your near a golf course and the promo will go over big.

I don't post to waste your time. I post to save you from having to look. What you do with the info is up to you. I hope each of you feel the same way.

So here is a view of 2011's award winning 4th of July float. Smoke from the furnace, Loud fife and drum music, and literally thousands of people asking for free samples! Great fun at 4 parades. Thanks to the Finn family, the Ryan's the Wood's, Hall & Emslie for the truck, and to Mr. Jim Cook for the lonely job of disassembly. And yes, GW was the biggest distiller in the nation post presidency!

One of the best guys I know, and such a great float idea.
