TA44
Hi, Wonder if you can advise. At the very early stages of exploring a business model for sloe gin, whereby gin is contract manufactured/distilled. Though the post distillation production steps e.g. steeping of sloe berries, filtration, addition of sugar, bottling etc. are performed ‘in-house’. Looking for some help to understand what equipment would be needed for these post-distillation steps? Assuming 250-500L batches. Also, would be great if you could help me understand what types of quality testing would be needed to ensure product safety before the sloe gin is bottled (assuming that quality control was performed already post-distillation by the contract manufacturer). Realise this differs country to country, but assume there are some basic standards. If you can’t advise on any of the above, do you have any advice on where to research this further? E.g. particular text books/articles/guidelines Very much appreciate the support. Thank you, Tom
