Experienced Quality Engineer with Masters in Distilling from Heriot-Watt looking for distilling opportunity

Hello!

I am a Chemical Engineer by training, and have spent a career building robust Quality Systems and solving complex quality issues in the Semiconductor industry.  I have always loved spirits, and the Magic and Science of spirit making, and I recently completed my Master's Degree (with Distinction) in Brewing and Distilling from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh.  My thesis work "Derivation of Whisky New Make Spirit Flavour–a Quality Control Guide" was presented as a poster at the WDSC 2023 in Edinburgh.

I have the theoretical knowledge, but lack the practical experience in this industry.  I  am looking for an apprentice type position, or an opening with a company willing to train, where i can learn the ropes and build up to a Master Distiller position.

I have enclosed my resume, as well as my poster from WDSC 2023.

I am located in California, but would consider a move for the right opportunity.
