Pursuit Spirits
Hey folks. We are taking some of our bottling in-house and we are in a few control states. I have a Zebra printer and the Zebra Designer software but it just dawned on me that there is no way every single distillery is creating their own state code stickers in-house. Is there a template that exists somewhere so I can plug in my own barcode numbers and state numbers? Thanks!
FIVE x 5 Consulting
Hi there, If you're using DISTILL x 5 or Whiskey Systems distillery management software, it can generate these labels for you automatically. whiskeytango
I think a lot of them do generate their own label layout, I know we did until we started using a distillery software that we can incorporate it into

The "Print CSC Label" isn't a true 4x6. There is dead space on the top and bottom. The "Print State Label" doesn't print the state nor SCC code. If the product master has a long name, it becomes illegible and difficult to read. I would expect these labels to be printed at 6x4 to account for everything like I see on all the boxes out there by the big boys in the industry. FIVE x 5 Consulting
There is a fully-NABCA-compliant 6x4 option in Whiskey Systems under "Print CSC Label" - it was added in the last year or two. Give it a try?
Pursuit Spirits
That does print the correct way at 6x4 but doesn't print the SCC code unfortunately.
Turner Labels
I know you'd probably rather print this in-house but let me know if you need any help. We've printed several of these.

Sorry for the delay in responding! The NABCA spec wants the bottle GTIN in the bottom left. An SCC code (case code) would not fit the NABCA spec, which is what this label is intended to match. If you also need an SCC, that's a requirement beyond NABCA standards. You can meet that spec through the "Print State Label" function in Whiskey Systems, which has both bottle GTIN and case SCC codes on it: See NABCA spec here: Just curious, who or what state is asking you to use SCC instead of UPC on the 6x4 checkerboard control state label?
