Sales Manager

Dread River Distilling Co., Alabama’s largest and most product-diverse distillery, is looking for a highly motivated Sales Manager to help promote our brand and increase sales throughout the state of Alabama. The ideal candidate has a considerable sales background and/or extensive experience in the hospitality industry, a proven track record of developing and growing relationships with both on and off-premise customers, and is a self-starter with an ambitious personality and a history of sales success.

Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced and constantly-changing environment while working independently and achieving data-supported results. Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for building relationships are must. Success in the role will require working the market daily, boldly starting conversations, and having a customer-focused mindset. The ideal candidate will be open to change and will create/embrace innovative ideas to increase sales. 

We are a small, passionate team and are searching for a candidate who is willing to work hard, take on new challenges, have fun and be an ambassador for the Dread River brand. 


Qualifications 
Must be at least 21 years of age
High School Diploma or GED 
Must have flexible work hours and travel as needed
Must have a valid Alabama Drivers License 
Preferred sales experience or experience in the hospitality industry
Confident, professional, self-starter who is looking to be a part of an exciting and challenging environment
Must be able to collaborate with a small team, as well as work independently 
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills 
Ability to move products and fulfill other physical requirements including: repetitive lifting, bending, pulling and pushing. Capable of lifting up to 40lbs.
Must be located in the state of Alabama with the ability to travel statewide
Proficient in using online communication tools and etiquette such as email, Hubspot, texting etc.

Responsibilities
To regularly call on new and established accounts within a specified territory, promoting and selling the full range of Dread River spirits 
Build positive, credible, lasting customer relationships based on trust
Must develop an extensive knowledge of the products and company 
Have the ability to speak with proficiency to new and existing accounts about anything regarding the products/business 
Communicate and maintain relationships with distributors 
Participate in regular tasting events, sponsored events, distillery tours, product launches, and company events. You are the outward face of the company.
Focus on increasing sales revenues by placing products in new accounts, on menus, and increasing current portfolios at existing accounts.

Salary negotiable depending upon experience 
Fully paid Health Insurance - for full-time position 
2 weeks of PTO (10 days PTO)
Expenses paid for required travel
