mepalo
Greetings ADI forum readers. We have developed a prototype bubble cap column that will be an affordable alternative to high priced stills. This column is all copper (welded) with bubble cap plates and downcomers. It also includes a dephlegmator on top for control. The product condenser is a shell and tube type. Thanks to Bill Owens and the guys at Amalgamated Distilling in St. Louis, we were able to do test runs using their 60 gallon direct fired kettle. This was accomplished with the use of an adapter that was custom fitted to their still. The column performed quite well; if anyone would like to see data that was collected during these runs, or any other info regarding the column, please contact me. Best regards.
