Seane
First post dumb question ? Does anyone here use a standard hot water boiler to heat there mash and power their pot ? I have access to a 399 999 btu unit for cheap just thinking I could use it on my jacketed mash tank to heat and hold 150 deg and preheat my pot to 200 ish and hold the boil with direct fire . Any thoughts
Mash
I think a 400 k heater, is really big, but btus are btu's. With a good recirc pump it would work.
Kristian
You can get hi temps with a hot water boiler if the pressure is right. A friend uses an instant hot water heater and pressurized system and his still runs great!
