Mulderbri Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Hi all, So the early bird registration ends in about 3 weeks. I can not find any descriptions for what the break out sessions might consist of or any descriptions of any of the one day workshops. Does anybody have any idea or am I missing something on the website? Looking to make a decision on attending but need to make a more educated decision based on what they have going on. Thank you.
3d0g Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Ditto! Details on the "optional activities" is very light. Any conference vets care to opine?
Michaelangelo Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Same thing happened last year which is why I decided not to go then. Just not enough information to take the leap and buy the tickets.
InsuranceMan Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 All, One reason that there is not much out there as of yet may be due to the fact that the board just finalized the speakers for this year. I just found out on Friday that I was awarded a speaking engagement so I would imagine that more news will be forthcoming in the next week or so. I will get in contact with the folks that I know over at ADI and see if I can obtain an update for all of us as to when they will be publicizing the full list. As soon as I hear back I will let you know here on this forum post.
InsuranceMan Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 *** UPDATE *** I have heard back from ADI and they are currently in the process of setting up the information for all of the session on the main website. Their plan is to have the agenda viewable by the end of the week if all goes well. So you should soon be able to see all of the information soon and make your decision as to whether or not to attend (I think you should). I will be doing a presentation, that alone should make you want to attend
Falling Rock Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 The Break Outs were "fluid" right up to start last year. That doesn't mean some of the last minute replacements won't be good. Besides, we now know the InsuranceMan will be there!
Mulderbri Posted January 20, 2015 Author Posted January 20, 2015 Having breakout sessions fluid up to the opening comments is not very good for those of us deciding if we should attend and commit before the early bird deadline. ADI does great work and I was a first time attendee last year and I learned a lot. Now with a closing on our building completed last week money is really tight and as such I need to make a decision based on content. I can't even decided if I want to sign up for a one day workshop because I have no idea what they are offering. In reading what I have written it sounds like I am whining. Ugh! I am not but I am frustrated. Just hoping someone at ADI reads this and gets the info on the website soon. I hear there is going to be some insurance guy there though. Lol.....sorry couldn't resist.
InsuranceMan Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 ASK AND YE SHALL RECEIVE!!!!!!!!! It is not the prettiest format (but I am an insurance expert, not a web expert) but it gives you an idea as to what is going on in order to help you decide. It is not detailed, but gives you "ideas". I have been assured that the full list will be on line late this week or early next week. You can praise me with accolades as you wish And the best news is ……. Shindig Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Do you know if the distillery bus tours are the same tours?
InsuranceMan Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 I am checking on the bus tours question right now @Shindig. As soon as I have the information I will post it here. I originally heard it was the same tour but I will confirm that hopefully today.
3d0g Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Registered yesterday - do note you can add workshops / tours / banquet AFTER completing the base registration, so there's no reason not to do the early-bird now and update as appropriate later. Looks to be good hotel availability left as well.

We would love to have anyone stop by and see us at 436 Baxter Ave, Louisville KY 40204. We have been a proud member of ADI and cannot explain how beneficial this forum has been to us. So we will either see everyone at the conference or at our place!
