We are a new distillery opening late Summer 2015 with a strong focus on locally-sourced, high quality ingredients. We will be representing the best of East Tennessee through our spirits from heirloom corn whiskey to local, collaboratively-developed spirits. The head distiller needs to be able to develop, produce and manage our whiskey production, and bring innovation and creativity to our specialty, experimental spirit line. The head distiller will have the full support of our managers and staff. We are the first distillery in Knoxville in over 100 years and we need someone who wants to take on the challenges of a new small distillery. Responsibilities include: All distillery operations including mashing through distillation, TTB reporting, record keeping, and maintenance and cleaning. Representing our distillery locally and nationwide Requirements: Previous distillery, winery or brewery experience. Willing to train the right candidate, through external distilling classes, who possess a strong willingness to learn and understand the technical details of spirit development and production.
