How to remove spirit for product testing?

Is there any way to remove some spirit for testing without having to bottle it? I'm not worried about the tax as it's a small amount. Or do I have to bottle it, sell it, and then unbottle it?

As long as you keep track of the PG removed and report that, thats all the government cares about. 

It never needs to see a bottle.
