Brian Waryck
Hi, I work at a distillery that makes cocktail bitters. We tend to fill bags with botanicals then press the botanicals until we have a decent recovery. The issue we are having is that we are using home use fruit presses and we have broken 3 presses in the past 2 years. We are looking for a new option. Does anyone have any good recomendation for food grade presses that would be good for botanicals? Thanks.
BWFiggins
Just use a small basket press. Very durable! The one found at this link is listed in the VEVOR catalogue: https://m.vevor.com/fruit-wine-press-c_11815/vevor-fruit-wine-press-1-6-gallon-6l-solid-wood-basket-with-6-blocks-manual-juice-maker-cider-apple-grape-tincture-vegetables-honey-olive-oil-making-press-with-pole-handle-bar-for-kitchen-and-home-p_010358062393?adp=gmc&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_id=8513381920&utm_term=&gbraid=0AAAAACq8bLUk-t2JMefG_9EdlzdXxqze0&gclid=CjwKCAjwyY6pBhA9EiwAMzmfwT5TbJ2aW5zPP4uLZb_lb028HXhaiWeNRwhNeS0Vgx7qh1UchaVvHxoCQ70QAvD_BwE
MichaelAtTCW
We have Mori presses being used for herbal extraction, and even grain pressing. They're probably quite a bit larger and more expensive than the home fruit presses you're using, so will depend on your scale.
