Salishseaorganicliqueurs Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 I am looking at finding a high temperature hose (something that could handle up to 200* F) to hook to the end of the 3" wide drain pipe on my still so I can feed it into our drain. Anyone have any suggestions as to what supplier I should use? Here's the ball valve that will be at the end of the drain pipe. http://www.copper-alembic.com/ns/product.php?id_product=307
jeffw Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 Are you sure your municipality will let you put 200+ degree waste down the drain. In my area you can't dump above 150 degrees.
JackRabbitDistillery Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 I have had good luck with Goodyear high temp hoses. Normally the problem is not only the heat but also the pH from cleaning chemicals. Have a rep from International Belt and Rubber come in and take a look at how you are going to use the hose. use this link to access their website. http://www.intlbeltandrubber.com/ Ed ~ Stubborn Rabbit

They were more concerned with the contents of the wash than it's temperature. I have had good luck with Goodyear high temp hoses. Donutboy Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 Hey Sam- Call Associated Hose Products down in Portland. www.ahphose.com and talk to Trevor. He's got some good things for that. He's been super helpful for me. Roy
HedgeBird Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Not sure how big of a hose you need, but have you considered steam hose: https://www.google.com/search?q=high+temp+steam+hose&oq=high+temp+steam+hose&aqs=chrome..69i57.11560j0j7&sourceid=chrome&espv=210&es_sm=122&ie=UTF-8#q=high+temp+steam+hose&tbm=shop
