jlevac
Hi All, I'm doing some comparison from various states to our province of Ontario from a case study perspective. I was wondering if someone could inform me if the state of Illinois controls distribution and what level the state marks up the retail product ( taxes). For example in Ontario, if a 750ml bottle of spirit at 40abv is sold for 40$ to the consumer by the liquor board, the producer would have sold the bottle for about 11$ to the liquor board :-(
jeffw
Illinois is not a control state.
jlevac
Ok that was an easy answer. So a 40$ bottle would probably be roughly 30/30/30 split? Sorry if it sounds like a basic question. I know canada real well but not so much in the USA.
