StonesRyan Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Does anyone know of an easy way to determine tank volume graduations? I'd like to mark the outside of my stainless tanks at various levels to be able to determine liquid quantities during operations and I'm wondering if there's an easier way than filling them all with water using a garden hose flow meter and marking the graduations as I go.
TylerPederson Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 If you have a tank that you can put on a calibrated scale you can weigh the water and work through it that way.
meerkat Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 You can download a calculator for this from http://arachnoid.com/TankCalc/
StonesRyan Posted March 4, 2015 Author Posted March 4, 2015 Thanks guys. I'm biting the bullet and looking into a platform floor scale now.
Dehner Distillery Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 you can always just use math... weighing it is going to be the best way.
