One Eight D
There have been a few posts on this before but I'm still looking for best options for a barrel stencil. I'd guess it either needs to be medium gauge metal for use with a butane torch or, no doubt cheaper, a laser cut or water jet mylar or silicon. Anyone have specific recommendations (other than having the cooperage do it)? TIA

Scrounge
Mylar or silicone probably not even cheaper than metal. Pretty easy to cut anything out with a plasma cutter. Just need a cardboard cut out for jig with handheld or CNC off computer graphic like Dehner said.
mendodistilling
The cooperage uses lasers from what I've seen. Seems like branding it would be a cool way to do it. You would have to get a reverse image made and heat it up. We did this with out honey bee co. Bee boxes because they had to be registered with the county Ag comissioner in case some dirty scoundrel hipsters wanted to steal some bee hives haha. Not sure if it will work the same but it seems like it would work perfectly. It just caramelizes the wood.
