Happy Tuesday Everyone I am looking into importing bulk spirits from Amsterdam to the US as part of a few new products we're developing, and I'm hoping for some suggestions from the hive mind. From what I understand, We need to apply for an importing permit as part of our DSP license Find a customs broker Correctly report our imports on our state and federal reports Correct me if I'm wrong, but I should be able to apply for the importing permit on Permits Online. I have a few referrals for customs brokers, but suggestions are always welcome! When it comes time to report imports to the feds, do we have to file additional reports on top of our normal production, storage, processing, and excise tax reports? Cheers!

Hi- We have a number of distilleries in our family. They all make products for their tasting rooms and distribution. However, we have the capacity and time to produce bulk spirits. Gin, Whiskeys, Flavored Whiskeys, Absinthe, Brandies, etc. We even have tequila in bulk!!!! Agave, Sotol, etc.. We also do RTDS in cans and bottles. Would love to connect and see how we can work together.

So is anyone doing the following.... Making your own mash/wash but then adding to that mash bulk spirit from say MGP or ultra pure. Essentially re-Distilling theirs with yours. It would greatly increase our yields...but how do you label it? If you’re doing it, does COLA allow you to say ‘distilled by’ on the label?

I'm Richard. Great to meet you all! The account was set up under our company name, but in any case I'm mainly here to chat and exchange ideas and guidance more than anything, since I'm personally as well as professionally passionate about spirits. In terms of my professional expertise, I'm particularly focused on all things wood - barrel ageing / finishing, new barrel coopering, used oak cask sourcing around the globe, innovations and use of "exotic" white oaks, spirit expressions in the context of marketing, etc. Hope to hear from you...
