Sourland Mountain Spirits is looking for a friendly, hard-working and dependable individual to serve as Head Distiller in our distillery. We are a start-up craft distillery located on a farm in beautiful Hopewell, NJ, focused on local ingredients and a farm to bottle concept. We are located about seven miles from downtown Princeton and 38 miles from Philadelphia. We are going to be installing our equipment in early fall 2016. We will begin with producing gin. In the future we will produce whisky, apple brandy, and eaux de vie. We are a start-up and would like for you to be a part of this exciting venture.
Hours: Full-Time, 40 per week; weekend work
Duties: Lead the distillation process in day to day operations (i.e. equipment cleaning, still operation, grain milling and mashing, and general maintenance of the facility.)
Competencies: Applicant must be dependable, hardworking, professional, and dedicated to working safely. Applicant must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., have a Driver's License, and a clean driving record.
Education/Experience: Requires high school diploma. College degree preferred. Experience in distilling/brewing (including home distilling/brewing). Experience in fermentation, yeast propagation, fractional distillation, and/or chemical analysis.
